This series is designed with a new appearance, link-type feeding mechanism, link thread take-up, hook thread catching, bevel gear driving, dial stitch regulating, lever reverse feeding and automatic lubrication. And it features low noise, low vibration, and uniform stitches whether in forward feeding or in re verse feeding. The sub models GC188-H and GC1 88-B are available for sewing various kinds of leather. Canvas, etc. And the sub-models GC188-HL and GC1B8-BL are equipped with roller presser foot, so they can sew heavy weight baggage, shoe-upper, seat cushion and bed-covers.

Highlead GC188-MC single needle lockstitch industrial sewing machine with combined fabric edge trimming, while stitching at the same time.

The adjustable edge trim device can be engaged for stitching & trimming various types of material or, by a simple pull of a button, it can be disengaged for straight stitching only.

Standard 3.2mm edge trim from right of needle. Optional sizes are available to order.

HIGHLEAD GA0688-1 | Flatbed Extra Heavy Duty Compound Feed + Walking Foot (Long & High Arm)

This model is the giant in the Highlead range of compound feed + walking foot flatbed heavy duty sewing machines (bottom feed, needle feed and walking foot feed). Its powerful and steady feeding action enables you to sew multiple ply of heavy weight material with a true and even stitch. A stitch length of up-to 15mm is possible (which in sewing machine terms, is big) and the machine has a reverse stitch lever as standard.

 

The special extra large shuttle hook and bobbin capacity reduces the number of bobbin changes and offers high efficiency in sewing products using extra thick thread up to metric size 8*  (including sizes 30, 25, 20, 12, 10, 8  &  V92, V138, V207, V242, V277*).

The bobbin winder is mounted on top of the sewing machine head for easy use and quick change over.

The presser foot has an extra high lift and can go up to 25mm, allowing for a large range of extra heavy weight material or bulky items to be used.

The walking foot action is fully driven and combines with the bottom feed and needle bar feed to produce a positive feeding motion for extra heavy use.

The head has a long arm internal working area of 400mm to the right of needle and a high under arm clearance.
